I was taking care of an errand in the area and saw the words Memphis Seoul across the street, immediately intrigued. The spot is relatively small but clean and the service was good, counter person made good recs while I was ordering. I had the loaded tiger tots with bulgogi meatloaf (eat right away so tots don't get soggy) with a Seoul sauce drizzle and it was slamming. Next time (and there will soon be a next time) I'd order double meat and if ordering to go I'd try the rice bowl instead because it would carry better long term. There's allot of fusion options that are creative and intriguing so I'll be sure to return and will update my reviews as I try brew menu items! Til next eat!

Recently visited this place with a friend to grab some dinner. We ordered catfish buns, kimchi slaw, wings and the mane! medley. The bad: This restaurant is woefully understaffed. If you're going to cook food to order you need more than one employee and a bigger frier. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. The good: the women behind the counter was kind and courteous even though she was obviously overwhelmed with orders. She apologized for our long wait and gave us free drinks and a dessert for our trouble. The food was delicious. Memphis Seoul, please consider adding more staff on weeknight evenings and give Lee (the cook/counterperson) a raise and promotion!!

Underrated gem! Serving Korean-Southern fusion dishes like korean chicken and hash browns, catfish baos, the cuisine is quite unique and worth a try. Great drink specials as well, if you're feeling ambitious try the a Soju beer tower. The restaurant itself is rather small with only 3 tables, so it's more of a takeout spot.

Stumbled upon this gem while picking up a kettlebell from someone in prospect heights (I know mad random). It was tucked in on a side street closer to Franklin Ave and the unique name made me yelp the menu. Menu definitely looked legit as well as the reviews so I ordered some food from Yelp to go. Inside were two young people preparing and packaging the food. I asked one of them what his favorite items off the menu were and he said EVERYTHING! I was a little skeptical as I have never tried Ramen and cheese, and or collard greens from a Korean restaurant but, baybeeee it 'twas DELICIOUS! A mix between sweet and spicy and the ramen tasted just like regular "black folks" Mac! The fried chicken was a bit too greasy but that's ok, just take off the skin and chow down!

Encompassing three categories, Korean, Southern and College, Memphis Seoul can be confusing as it's not always clear when the item will be a fusion or a more classic configuration. The "Kollards" for example, don't earn that K and don't look like the website picture, but the ramen and cheese was a more effective side. I got the three-bun combo and the meatloaf was the best of these. The fried chicken one was fine but you can get chicken, so you might want to roll the dice on the jackfruit, turning in a laudable imitation of pulled pork. Thumbs up for the three outdoor tables.
